Hot Dogs the original Fun Food!

Hot Dog Etiquette

The Do's & Dont's of eating Hot Dogs

  • Don't put hot dog toppings between the hot dog and the bun. Always "dress the dog" not the bun!
  • Do eat hot dogs on buns with your hands. Utensils should not touch hot dogs or buns.
  • Don't take more then 5 bites to finish a hot dog. For foot longs 7 bites are acceptable.
  • Don't use ketchup on your hot dog after the age of 18.
  • Do lick away remaining condiments off your fingers.
  • Don't wash.
  • Don't send thank you notes following a hot dog party. It would not be in keeping with the unpretentious nature of hot dogs.
